A classic Cote-Rotie example, medium to full bodied with a lot of character. On the nose, aromas of black plum, black cherries, blackberries, bacon, and violets. On the palate these aromas continue and are met by more tertiary leather and game meat with a very pronounced peppery finish. High acidity with firm tannins, the alcohol really does present itself however. 100% Syrah. 14.5% abv. 89/100
