This peated cask strength German whisky offers a brilliant aroma makeup. Full of apricots, cherry, sweet vanilla, cinnamon, and a punch of new oak. At 54% you would think the alcohol would overtake the palate, however the alcohol is the last component you encounter. Warming vanilla and clove with a strong note of charred new wood really shine through. 90/100
A very clean aroma gin with subtle hints of green tea, lime leaves, and juniper. A confusion of a grass note is attributed to the green tea. Unsurprisingly this gin is incredibly smooth on the palate with fresh citrus notes of lemon rind and yuzu. By itself this is a very delicate and well made gin, equally, is well paired with slimline tonic and grape fruit peel. 43% abv. 91/100
